“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrews 11:3
The Bible tells us:
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7
He equates faith with sight and tells you in Christ, the choice is already made- he expects you look, not at the physical circumstances but at the word.
A man who responds based on his senses, always has that which is physical in front of him, but the Bible tells you to look beyond;
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Look at that which cannot be seen but is permanent- the word of God.
“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever…” 1 Peter 1:25
To walk by faith, the word must always be before you, it’s not a nice mental conclusion you make to walk by faith, God’s word that brings faith must be in front of you always:
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. LET THEM NOT DEPART FROM THINE EYES; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” Proverbs 4:20-21
