“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrews 11:3

He continues with the examples of faith and he tells us about Abraham:
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” Hebrews 11:8
Think about it! Abraham lived in tents till he passed on and his seed wouldn’t enter the physical promise land until hundreds of years later, and those of us, who are Christ’s- Abraham seed (Galatians 3:29 ) wouldn’t enter the city he sought for until Jesus came:
“For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Hebrews 11:10
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,” Hebrews 12:22, see also Hebrews 11:40
Yet God called him out to wander from place to place with no permanent habitat- to what end? Yet he followed in faith. Are you compelled by God’s word to do things that seem inexplicable? Have you stopped or are you complaining?
