Welcome to the Month of Instructions!!! Glory!!!

We had an awesome time learning the word at the February Communion Service last Sunday. Pastor shared from 1 John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;”

Pastor showed us from this scripture that words can be heard, seen, looked upon and handled. Jesus said you shall have what you say. The words that we speak have the potential to become real things. Everything we see today, God spoke into existence. As Sons of God, we should never speak lack, sickness or failure because you’ll see what you say.

Pastor went further to explain that when you hear the word of God, for example, concerning your success, it doesn’t mean you’ll handle it or automatically become what it says, you ought to see yourself in the picture of the words that you have heard. Everytime people speak to you, what you see is a vision based on what they said. You can determine the kind of things you want to see but it starts from what you hear. What you refuse to hear will not be your experience. When you hear, see it, look upon it and you will handle it.

Pastor illustrated this message with an example of how God told Abraham to number the stars of the sky so that he could see something to hold on to whenever the wrong thoughts came. In looking and seeing, he became what he saw. It is not enough to hear, what you see is the most important. God told Abraham that as far as his eyes can see, he would be given. He saw the world and he became the owner of the world. You will only get to handle what you see.

After this super enlightening message, Pastor declared February as the month of Instructions. Pastor admonished us to learn how to follow instructions this month, because God will give us a specific instruction that will put us beyond.

Reading from 1 John 4:20, “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”, Pastor established that just as you cannot claim to love God who you cannot see while hating your brother who you see physically, similarly, if you have not followed physical instructions, you cannot follow spiritual instructions.

If you have not followed what God has said in his word, you cannot claim to hear him concerning your life or follow instructions he tells you personally. When you follow physical instructions that are measurable, then we can believe that God is talking to you. With this, Pastor charged us to commit to following the instructions we see in the word of God this month such as not forsaking the assembly of believers.
