Praise God! It’s been an awesome ride so far in the year of New Beginnings, walking with the Lord through his word.

Pastor started the service by admonishing us to always have time for God’s word. She reminded us that Jesus was very busy while He was on the earth but He still made out time everyday to fellowship with God, she emphasised the need to take out time to pray consistently because spending time with God is important.

Pastor went on to preach about The Seed Strategy taking her first reading from Luke 8:4-8, we saw Jesus speaking in a parable about a seed which He explained in subsequent verses to be the word of God. We saw that the word of God is sown for us to hear and produce fruits – various fruits that can affect every sphere of our lives. The word comes to produce results that will influence our life; our present and future, but for that to happen, we need to understand the word. Pastor admonished us that while the seed (the word) is being planted, we should be present, fight off distractions and fight to pay attention to the word so as to aid our understanding and to allow the seed to take root. The word needs to take root in us for us to be able to insist on it in time of temptations which will come to test the word we have heard.

Pastor reminded us that God is ahead of us in time, He sees our future and He therefore sows seeds in our lives right now for us to reap and win at the foreseen time in our future. He gives us words that will definitely produce results that we might not be aware we even need.

Pastor mentioned that there is a seed strategy and God uses this strategy by sowing the word so it will produce necessary fruits in our lives while Satan also understanding this strategy always seeks to attack us at the seed stage because he sees what God can do with the seed. We learnt that this principle not only applies to the word, it also applies to givings (2 Cor 9:6-7) and acts of kindness (Gal 6:6-9). Pastor made us understand that seeds will always follow the same pattern irrespective of the type of seed – you sow them and reap a harvest.

When God gives, He gives bread to eat and seed to sow and He who gives the seed has plans to multiply it, He is able to make all grace abound towards us.

Pastor charged us to not see any seed as little and to not let anything attack us at the seed stage; while hearing the word of God, while giving, and while showing acts of kindness.
