“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”
Romans 4:20
The promises of God are yours right now, and so thank him, even when it seems there is nothing to hope for; look at his word- that is material to base your hope on, see Abraham:
“Who against hope believed in hope, THAT he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:18
That what God had said should happen, he had to hope against hope; he hoped for that which was spoken as against what he saw and how he felt:
“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:” Romans 4:19
Faith is placing what you heard from God above what you see and feel, and what you hear from men! And as such your response is thanksgiving to God because you have it already.
