“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”
Luke 18:1

Isn’t it interesting that the church prayed nonstop for Peter’s release from jail and nothing happened till the night before he was supposed to be executed?!
“And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers… And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him…” Acts 12:6-7
What if they had stopped praying? We might never know, but they didn’t stop, they kept on praying till the Peter whose release they were praying for was outside the gate!
“…he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate…” Acts 12:12-13
That’s perseverance! A refusal to quit until the desired result is effected! The Bible says:
“…The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16, ISV
Power is made available when you pray, but some circumstances might require more power than others, either ways- stick to what Jesus said: “you are supposed to pray and not stop!”
