Service this sunday was full of insight from the word of God, the service themed “Jesus: the way, the truth and the life” was a revelation of our reality as Christians having believed in and received Jesus. Pastor began teaching from John 14:1 exhorting us to never be troubled irrespective of the situation but instead to believe in Jesus and in what he can do about the situation, we went on to see how Jesus declared himself to be the way to the father, he is the only way to God and God proved this to be true by raising him from the dead, when we got born again, we came to the father through Jesus the way, now we are with the Father and we are with him for a reason, there is a purpose, an instruction and an inheritance for our lives. We began to look at the purpose for our lives as seen in Romans 8:29, we saw that God knew us before we were born and that he predestined us, gave us a destiny, and that destiny is for us to be conformed to the image of his son, many things are good but being the son of God surpasses them all, our careers and activities on earth are good but none of them is our God-given destiny, our destiny is to live and function as sons of God.
