“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13
We serve a God of hope- a God of expectation, which means with God, there is no hopeless situation!
Pastor encouraged us to always keep hope alive knowing that, when God shows up, there is hope and the reality is, he is always with us- so we should never stop expecting.
Using the story of Jairus and how he nearly gave up hope when he was told his daughter had died before Jesus reached his house, she admonished us to always remember that while we have expectations with regards to our faith, we could hear things that would tend to discourage us or make us change our expectations, but we should always remember the words of Jesus through the year 2020:
“be not afraid, only believe” Mark 5:36
As Jairus hearkened to Jesus’ instruction, even in that hopeless situation, there was a miracle! As we remember Jesus’ instruction this year, even when circumstances and events change in a way we might not have anticipated, there would be a miracle!
Pastor concluded by emphasizing through Romans 15:13, how God wants us to be full of joy and peace as we believe- while we are hopeful, we do so in excitement, superabounding In hope by the power of the Holy Ghost, knowing that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in and for us.
