“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.”
Proverbs 4:8

Check this out: Proverbs 16:31, Psalms 119:172
So because someone’s who’s aged is talking, doesn’t mean wisdom is found on their lips, only the word is wisdom. Remember the old prophet? His distinction was his age, yet he lied (1 Kings 13:11-18).
He tells you to exalt God’s word and you would be promoted! How true- Look at one of the reforms of king Jehoshaphat:
“Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes…to teach in the cities of Judah. And with them he sent Levites… And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.” 2 Chronicles 17:7-9
He prioritized the word, exalted the teaching of the word throughout Judah, and here was the result:
“And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat… And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly…” 2 Chronicles 17:10-12
Remember, unlike David, Jehoshaphat was not a man of war, in-fact his only significant battle recorded in the word of God, he won by prophecy and singing: 2 Chronicles 20:17-19.
Just by exalting the word in the sight of others, he was greatly promoted and there’s more for you, hear Jesus:
“…but whosoever shall do and teach them (God’s commandments), the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:19
