“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
2 Corinthians 5:7
The most obvious response isn’t always correct.
Never be pressured to respond according to your carnal observations; your life and all that concern you should be guided by God’s Spirit- in his guidance you have an identity and security:
“Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.” Psalms 33:20
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14
Be inspired by David; he was a man of war- anointed by God with a history of defeating the one enemy- Goliath- that all the valiant soldiers of Israel including the king cowered from, yet he said:
“Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. Thy testimonies also are my delight and my COUNSELLORS.” Psalms 119:23-24
He didn’t wage war against those princes even though he could have, he instead consulted with the word- he prioritized God’s word. The most obvious response isn’t always correct.
