“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭46‬ ‭

The Bible says, we were delivered from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear son;

“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are not of this world, we have been delivered out of this present evil world:

“who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

From the main verse, Jesus makes it clear that there is darkness in the world; and he doesn’t just mean the sun doesn’t shine in some parts of the world, but there is that darkness that results in wickedness:

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s why he came, to ensure that people do not remain in that realm of wickedness, that realm of confusion, darkness and death. It is very possible that an individual can leave a life free of such darkness- that individual should be you.
