“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrews 11:3
The Bible tells us more about Noah: 2 Peter 2:5
He called him a preacher of righteousness; for 100 years as he built the ark, he preached to those around him of what was going to happen because of their disobedience, yet, moved by their lusts and senses, they despised him. Jesus tells us:
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, UNTIL the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” Luke 17:26-27
Once he entered that ark and God shut him in, the time was up. Those who are sinners on the earth haven’t seen hell and so do not sensually relate to the terror that awaits them if they die in their disobedience to the gospel, but be inspired by Noah- be a preacher of righteousness, while you know that you and those who hearken are shielded from the terror and you keep building your lives with the word, keep telling the unsaved about the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ:
“And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 1:23
