“Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.”
John 8:19

God has revealed his glory to us, when he sent Jesus:
“…and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father…” John 1:14
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
He’s not trying to be mysterious to you, he wants you to know him fully and walk in the light of your knowledge of him, because when you do, then you would have true communion with him:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another…” 1John 1:7
And what’s more? You would get to know him even better: Matthew 13:11-12.
Living a life of endless increase in glory, because your knowledge of God just keeps getting better and making you change levels progressively:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
