“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” Mark 11:25
Pastor explained the first tactic to be used when we face challenges is to speak to the challenge- complaining about the challenge does nothing, Jesus said you speak to the challenge, just like he spoke to the fig tree.
She pointed out that speaking to that challenge is the first step necessary but after we have spoken, various thoughts may arise, contradicting the word of God we have received, but we would not be the first that would happen to.
Jesus, having heard God tell him clearly that he was his beloved son:
“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” Matthew 3:17
The devil still brought questioning thoughts to make him doubt what God has said:
“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread” Matthew 4:3
But rather than meditate on those questions:
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
He answered the negative thoughts, affirming the word of God he had received.
We also, in the same manner, ought not to meditate on thoughts that arise to question the word of God we have believed and spoken, rather we rebuke satan and his opposing thoughts, affirming the word of God we have received.
“Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?” Matthew 16:9
Pastor concluded by showing us how Jesus reminded his disciples of previous miracles he had wrought to inspire them to believe for a miracle in the present situation.
“And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing” Luke 22:35
She also showed us how that when Jesus sent his disciples out, he sent them with nothing, a perfect scenario for satan to discourage them with his negative thoughts, but because he sent them, they lacked nothing!
So when God place a vision in our heart towards something and the devil comes around with thoughts of lack or feeling of incapacitation, we should bring to mind Jesus’ question to his disciples and rebuke satan and his unbelieving thoughts!
